The
Yellow Twig Dogwood can be pruned and the pruned twigs invariably
die back to the next bud and turn black from there to the
pruned end of the twig, leaving ugly black ends on bright
yellow twigs. Prune with care; remove branches or twigs only
at the ground line.
White fruit follows the white, star-shaped flowers of the
Yellow Twig Dogwood. The Yellow Twig Dogwood is loved for
the bright yellow color of its twigs and branches. These shrubby
trees develop great clumps that are showstoppers in the snow.
The Yellow Twig Dogwood is very colorful after its autumn
leaves fall. The deep red leaf color is also attractive in
the fall kaleidoscope of colors
